Refrigerant Sales Policy

1. Purpose

This policy explains customer responsibilities and store review practices for refrigerant purchases. It is intended to support lawful sales and does not replace a customer’s obligation to determine which requirements apply to a particular product, transaction, destination, or use.

2. Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for complying with applicable federal, state, and local requirements concerning the purchase, receipt, possession, handling, installation, recovery, resale, recordkeeping, and disposal of refrigerants.

3. Applicable purchase restrictions

Certain refrigerants may be purchased only by appropriately certified individuals or by persons purchasing for resale to, or installation by, an EPA-certified technician. Additional restrictions may apply based on product, customer type, destination, or intended use.

4. Certified technician purchases

A customer purchasing as a certified technician is responsible for maintaining a valid certification appropriate to the work and product. Max Five Star Furniture may request identifying or certification information when reasonably necessary to review the order.

5. Employer purchases

An employer purchasing for use by certified employees is responsible for ensuring that the refrigerant is received, controlled, and used by personnel who satisfy applicable requirements. The employer must maintain any required employment, certification, and transaction records.

6. Reseller purchases

A reseller is responsible for confirming that its acquisition and subsequent sales comply with applicable rules, including purchaser qualification, certification representations, invoicing, and record retention. Purchasing for resale does not remove the reseller’s independent compliance duties.

7. Information the store may request

We may ask for an order number, customer or business name, intended purchaser category, certification representation, reseller information, intended use, delivery details, or other information reasonably relevant to order review. The public website does not claim an automated certification-upload or approval system.

8. Order review

Orders may be reviewed for product restrictions, destination, quantity, customer information, purchase representation, payment status, suspected fraud, or other compliance and operational concerns. An order confirmation is not a guarantee of acceptance or shipment.

9. Order holds

We may place an order on hold while requesting clarification or additional information. Processing estimates may be extended during a hold. Respond promptly and accurately to avoid unnecessary delay.

10. Incomplete information

If required information is missing, inconsistent, or cannot reasonably be verified, we may request correction, limit the order, or decline to proceed. Customers are responsible for keeping contact details current so they can receive an information request.

11. Refusal or cancellation

We may refuse or cancel an order when we reasonably believe the sale or shipment cannot be completed lawfully or safely, information is materially inaccurate, the customer does not respond to a review request, payment is not authorized, or fraud or misuse is suspected.

12. Customer representations

By placing an order, you confirm that the refrigerant will be installed by, or resold to, an EPA-certified technician when required and that you will comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

You also represent that the order information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for any business or other person identified in the transaction.

13. Product handling

Customers must follow the product label, Safety Data Sheet, manufacturer instructions, cylinder requirements, transport rules, workplace practices, and environmental obligations. Do not use a product or damaged cylinder when safe handling is uncertain.

14. Resale responsibilities

Customers who resell refrigerant are responsible for their own purchaser-screening, certifications, disclosures, invoices, records, storage, shipment, and compliance. Max Five Star Furniture’s review of the original order does not approve or supervise a later resale.

15. Record retention

We may retain order information, customer representations, communications, transaction records, and documents for business, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, and compliance purposes. Customers and resellers must maintain their own records for the period required by applicable law.

16. Applicable law

This policy is applied together with current legal and regulatory requirements. Nothing on the website is legal or certification advice. Customers should consult appropriate authorities or qualified advisers when uncertain about a requirement.

17. Policy changes

We may update this policy when products, store procedures, or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.

18. Contact information
